Pathology Image Detail

Caption

Small intestine: the intestinal epithelium is focally moderately thickened by a cauliflower-like 3 mm in diameter mass. This mass is composed of papillae (close to the surface) and glands (in the deeper portions of the adenoma) lined by a one cell-thick columnar epithelium supported by a small amount of fibrovascular stroma. There is no evidence of invasion in the stroma or in the submucosa.
