Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor: this photomicrograph focuses on a portion of the neoplasm where neoplastic cells form small bundles and have nuclear palissading. Neoplastic cells are fusiform, with indistinct cell borders and a small amount of acidophilic and fibrillar cytoplasm. The nucleus is small, central, oval, and hyperchromatic. The stroma is abundant and contains numerous acidophilic fibrils (collagen).
