Caption

Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor: this photomicrograph focuses on a portion of the neoplasm where neoplastic cells form streaming and whirling bundles intercrossing at righ angle and supported by a small to moderate amount of fibrovascular stroma (Antoni type-A pattern). Neoplastic cells are plump to fusiform, with indistinct cell borders and a moderate amount of fibrillar acidophilic cytoplasm. The nucleus is oval to slightly elongated, small and hyperchromatic. Anisokaryosis and anisocytosis are mild.
