This is the thyroid gland from an 836 day old female C3H/HeJ mouse with a small nodule in one thyroid gland. The cells are well differentiated and look very similar to the normal follicle cells in the adjacent parenchyma of the gland. However, little colloid is present. The nodule is distinct and compressing the adjacent follilcles. |
