Description

adrenal cortical adenoma

Age at Necropsy

366 days

Notes

This is an adrenal gland from a 366 day old male C3H/HeJ mouse. There are several adenomas in the adrenal cortex. This is a relatively common neoplasm in male mice of this strain. The tumor cells are consistently negative for tyrosine hydroxylase confirming they are not derived from the medulla.
