Pathology Image Detail

Caption

Stomach - normal tissue. There is strong labeling of chief cells for JAK1 (tissue fixed in Fekete's fixative, heat-mediated antigen retrieval in citrate buffer at pH=6.0, 1:100 dilution). Strong labeling of chief cells of the stomach is observed with a variety of antibodies and is interpreted as an artifact. Artifactual labeling of the cytoplasm of chief cells may be the result of the low pH of their cytoplasm.
